Bizzy Bee Bookkeeping is a registered trade name (DBA) of 509Done, LLC ("Bizzy Bee," "we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect through www.bizzybeebookkeeping.com, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do about it.

If you are already a client, the financial records you give us for bookkeeping, payroll or tax work are not collected through this website. Those are governed by your engagement letter and by the federal rules described under "Client financial and tax information" below.

The short version

  • We collect what you type into a form on this site, plus standard analytics about how the site gets used.
  • We use it to reply to you and to run the site. We do not sell or rent it, and we do not run advertising trackers here.
  • Form submissions pass a Cloudflare bot check, are stored in our hosting account, and land in our CRM so someone actually follows up.
  • Client financial and tax records are handled under stricter federal rules than anything on this page.

Information you give us

The contact form and the free-guide form are the only places this site asks you for anything. Depending on the form, that is:

  • Your name
  • Your business name (optional)
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • What you need help with — the topic you pick from the list
  • Your message, if you write one

What gets attached automatically

When you submit a form, two things are added to it before it reaches us: the page you submitted from, and a label identifying this website as the source. That is so we know which page answered your question and can reply in context.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, full bank or credit-card numbers, payroll registers or tax documents through a website form or ordinary email. Ask us and we will give you a secure way to send them.

Information collected automatically

This site loads Google Analytics 4. It records which pages you view, roughly where you are (derived from your IP address), your device and browser, and how you arrived — for example from a search engine or a link someone sent you. It sets first-party cookies to recognize a return visit.

We also ask Analytics to record four specific actions so we can tell which pages actually help: clicks on a phone-number link, clicks on an email link, contact-form submissions, and free-guide downloads.

Separately, our host keeps standard server logs — IP address, time of request, page requested — the way every web server does.

Where your form submission goes

In order:

  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are not a bot. Cloudflare receives the challenge token and your IP address to make that call.
  • Netlify, our hosting provider, stores a copy of the submission in our account. This is the backup, so an inquiry is never lost.
  • The submission is forwarded to GoHighLevel, our CRM, where we manage follow-up. That is where a reply, a scheduled call, or a requested guide comes from.
  • Nobody else receives it. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers.

Other third-party services on this site

A few things on these pages are served by other companies, which means your browser contacts them and they see your IP address. Each one operates under its own privacy policy:

  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces, on every page.
  • Google Maps — the embedded map, on the contact page only.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — the bot check for our forms.
  • Netlify Identity — the staff login widget for our own content editor. It does not track visitors.

Client financial and tax information

This is the part that matters most, and it has nothing to do with the website. Your books, payroll data and tax documents reach us through accounting and payroll software, secure file transfer, or in person — and they are covered by your engagement letter, not by this page.

Because we prepare tax returns and handle financial data, federal law treats our firm as a financial institution under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and the FTC Safeguards Rule applies to us. We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards intended to protect your information.

Tax return information carries a second layer of protection under Internal Revenue Code section 7216: we will not use or disclose it for any purpose other than preparing your return without your written consent.

We disclose client information only to people you authorize, to the software and payroll providers that process it on our behalf, and where the law requires it — for example a valid subpoena or a lawful request from a tax authority.

How long we keep it

Website inquiries stay in our hosting account and our CRM as part of our business records, so that we can pick up a conversation you started months ago.

Client accounting and tax records are kept for as long as your engagement letter and our professional record-retention obligations require, which for tax-related records is generally several years after the return is filed.

Your choices

  • Ask us what we have. Email leslie@bizzybeebookkeeping.com and we will tell you, correct it, or delete it — unless we are required to keep the record.
  • Stop the emails. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Reply STOP to any text message.
  • Turn off analytics. Use your browser's cookie controls, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • If you live somewhere that gives you statutory privacy rights — California or the EU, for example — contact us and we will handle your request under the law that applies to you.

Security

The whole site is served over HTTPS and our forms sit behind a bot challenge. Access to inquiries and client records is limited to the people at our firm who need it to do the work.

No method of transmitting data over the internet is perfectly secure. That is the honest answer, and it is why we ask you not to send sensitive documents through a web form or plain email.

Children

This site is for business owners. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so here rather than quietly swapping the text.
